PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Onsite in Sonoma County, CA | Freelance, Project-Based

Render Creative Studio is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Production Assistant to support studio production and on-site event work on a project-based, as-needed basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, appreciates the tactile side of design and materials, and takes pride in the quality of what leaves the studio.

This is a hands-on production role — not a design position — offering the opportunity to work behind the scenes on beautifully crafted weddings and corporate events, from studio assembly through on-site installation.

Render Creative Studio is a boutique creative studio based in Sonoma County specializing in event branding, signage systems, environmental graphics, fabrication, and stationery for weddings and corporate clients. We are known for our refined approach and our commitment to craft at every stage of production. Proximity to Sonoma County is essential — this is a fully in-person position.

Schedule & Structure

• Hours vary by project and season

• Freelance, as-needed basis

• On-site at our Sonoma County studio and at event locations throughout Northern California

Key Responsibilities

Studio Production

• Assembly of stationery suites, signage, and event materials

• Finishing work including cutting, mounting, and detail finishing

• Packaging and preparing orders for delivery or pickup

• Quality control review of finished goods

• Organizing and maintaining studio materials and inventory

Event & Install Support

• Preparing and transporting materials for events and installations

• On-site setup and installation support as projects arise

• Assisting with breakdown and post-event logistics as needed

Qualifications

• Background in art, design, or a related hands-on field preferred

• Strong attention to detail and pride in finished work

• Comfortable following direction and working within a small team

• Reliable personal transportation required

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Bonus Experience (not required)

• Prior event, production, or fabrication experience

• Familiarity with materials, printing techniques, or hand finishing

• Experience in the wedding or events industry

• Hourly rate: $20–$25 depending on experience
